Lime concrete


1    Lime concrete :-  A concrete made from a mixture of lime, sand, and gravel is said to be as lime concrete. It was widely used before the lime was replaced by Portland cement.
The lime concrete is cheaper and has less strength of plain cement concrete.

Taking concrete 1cum(M20) Concrete ratio :- 1:1.5:3 1cum dry concrete = 1.54cum wet concrete So, Cement = 1.54*1/5.5 = 0.28cum Now 1cum cement = 1440kg So, 0.28 cum concrete = 1440*0.28 = 403 kg And sand :- 1.54*1.5/5.5 = 0.42cum Now 1cum = 35.32 cft So, 0.42cum = 35.32*0.42 = 14.83 cft Stone :- 1.54*3/5.5 = 0.84 = 0.84*35.32 = 29.67 cft.
